What is Chiropractic?
"Chiropractic is a health care profession that focuses on disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system and the effects of these disorders on general health. Chiropractic care is used most often to treat neuromusculoskeletal complaints, including but not limited to back pain, neck pain, pain in the joints of the arms or legs and headaches." -American Chiropractic Association
Traditional Chiropractic
There are hundreds of chiropractors in Southeast Texas. Many of them practice concepts of general or traditional chiropractic. We feel that in order for you to understand the difference between traditional and structural chiropractic, we should analyse the goals of traditional chiropractic.
There are many techniques practiced by chiropractors. Many whom practice traditional or general chiropractic focus on three main goals:
1.Temporary Reducing Pain
2.Increasing Range of Motion
3.Decreasing Muscular Tension and Spasm
These are excellent goals in my opinion and produce some great outcomes utilizing traditional or general chiropractic care.
Structural Correction
We at Chiro 4 All Health Center focus on the concept of Structural Correction. We like to dig deeper to find and fix the cause of your health concern versus a patch. Many people would prefer to patch up their condition. However, many people have grown tired of patching or “duct-taping” their condition(s) again and again. They are now ready to find a solution.
Our initial focus is to decrease pain, but our fundamental focus is to restore your body’s structural function to as close to normal as possible. Understand the closer to normal your body is, the better it will function.
